This server is running on Pentium-200 MMX with 128Mb of RAM and 6.5Gb hard disks.
The hardware is provided by American Geophysical Union.
This server belongs to the WDCB/GC/CGDS local area network
and connected to the Internet through Moscow State University
by 10 Mbit/s optiv fiber link. This Internet service is also supported by Russian Space Science Internet.
To use this service you should obtain some necessary software.
- One of the available World Wide Web browsers. For instance
(Version 2.0 or newer recommended)
If you have difficulties accessing Netscape Communications Corporation home site, you can go here for Windows 3.1X version (2.4 Mb), here for Windows 95/NT version (3.1 Mb) and here for Linux 1.1.59 version (1.9 Mb).
- NCSA Mosaic
If you have problems accessing NCSA site, please go here for Windows 3.1X version (2.1 MB).
- Lynx (Text only browser).
Home page of Lynx is here and home page of DosLynx is here. Lynx browser will not allow you to enjoy all advantages of graphical user interface but you will be able to use this server somehow.

- To run Netscape or Mosaic on Windows 3.1X you will need Win32s from Microsoft. You can get it at Microsoft or here.
